Can I nominate Jude Law for the Sergeant? Already know he looks fabulous with a mustache.

And I love the idea of Jamie Bamber as Captain James. And Mark Sheppard as anyone. Or possibly everyone. (Hell, he could play basically the same character in both shows, except he shows up more often in IS.)

Mayall is already Jeffrey and the tenth Inspector is Christopher Obi.

Mark Sheppard should just play the devil. We can say that "Other Show" took the idea of having the devil fight the main character from this one, but they went boring and made him a monster. We went more a Twilight Zone/Howling Man direction with it. Plus that could be how he got the job as Crowley in Supernatural.
