I was trying to put together a simple timeline based on the one posted in Facts about the Inspector ( http://inspectorspacetime.proboards.com/....ead=3&page=2#70 )

But to fill out some more information, I thought I would check the wikia, and I found

Maybe it would be good to have a sticky thread somewhere just for sites and sources? I didn't notice one yet, but maybe I missed it.

Well, if my opinion matters, the proboards and the TVTropes page are the *most* official, though how can you really say official for a fake show? I did go ahead and make a change to the TVTropes page that I discussed here previously. I made "Space Masters" into "Infinity Knights", because that's what's in the script I wrote before the Community season premiere.

I put a lot of thought into that, and besides the fact that Infinity Knights has a bit more parallels to DW, it also jives with the idea that the Inspector is more of a time police, and is more about duty. "Master" (besides the association with a certain arch-nemesis), has a general negative feel to it that doesn't feel right for our hero character.

I went through a dozen other permutations that I rejected for various reasons. Also, an epic story line called "Infinite Night" just sounds, well... epic. ;-)

PS. I'm still not fond of DARSIT, and I know for a fact the Community people aren't fond of it, either... :-/

I would love to see DARSIT changed, but it looks like we've lost a bit of steam so no one is really discussing the alternatives we've all suggested.

I agree that space masters never quite fit with aloof bureaucratic time police.

So, would the Inspector be with the Chronological Investigations Division of the Infinity Knights? Would there be an armed forces wing?

As for the DARSIT, I've seen a couple of entries on Inspector Spacetime Confessions referencing him having a B.O.O.T.H., but I haven't been able to come up with a decent sequence of words to fit that.

Could be that B.O.O.T.H. is never explained, and it's one of the Inspector's secrets...
