I prefer Sonic Crowbar. We need to be careful to not change -everything- from Doctor Who, or else it will just sound like we're making it parallel. We need to balance between things we've taken from DW (or that DW has taken from IS), things that are allegories for DW, and things that are totally different. Since "crowbar" is already an allegory for "screwdriver", I think we should keep "sonic" the same.

I added a kind of quirk for the Eleventh Inspector. He loves coffee and custard creams and he HATES people messing with his bowler hat.

And under no circumstances does he think bow ties are cool.

The Inspector is extremely annoyed by Brooke Rhapsody.

Agreed. No-one in England has worn a casual bow-tie in decades, and I'm all for natty dressing. The only Brits who ACTUALLY wear them, are those trying to pander to the American view of the geeky Brit (Giles, Sci-Fi rip-offs) etc. I am quite behind this decision!

I think it would be nice to expand on the idea of the Inspector having Associates as a way to live through them. These people with ordinary lives who can love and don't always follow the rules, that he takes under his wing/bowlerhat to try to experience 'truly being alive' with them. Often, when they have found their purpose or are no longer bringing him joy or feeling, the companion changes.

That's true. It could be an additional "darker side" implied through the series. I doubt it'd be a plot point in any of the old!Inspector though.
Simpler times~

I think the old!Inspector years would be more light, with us being introduced to this world. I could see the first few Inspectors living less through them, but around the time the series is revived, one could see them adding this undertone.

Perhaps the lack of heart and thereby most emotions lead the Inspector to go on all of these crazy adventures in an attempt to gain some humanity.
Or Space Master-ity.
What if the commonality between Associates was that all the Associates felt as if they were not truly living in whatever time period they were in, and the Inspector felt that connection and decided to whisk them away on a crazy Spacetime adventure?
"Would you like to inspect Spacetime with me?" XD
Question! Is the Inspector the last of the Space Masters, like how the Doctor is the last of the Time Lords?

Yes!, well mostly...maybe...There is the sergeant, but he's dead...or something...yes dead. He is the last.

^ Have we figured out why yet?
Through this lack of a heart, would all the Space Masters have felt the same sort of emptiness of life? Perhaps they all died doing crazy adventures in an attempt to feel more alive. XP Or they began as many wars as they could in order to gain some sort of emotion! Then they all got wiped out as their wars gained too much momentum. And our beloved Inspector was the last soldier standing who realized that the violence was the opposite of life. So instead of taking lives, he set out in a journey to connect to life.
Thus we have our Associates and Inspector Spacetime.

Yeah, Space Masters are incredibly smart, but they don't have hearts. The 'good' ones spend all their lives trying to feel emotion, through adventure, good deeds, whatever. There's heaps of sadistic Space Masters, though, who thrive in the fact that they can't feel emotions easily.
And an early idea about the Associates was that the Inspector would often choose people who were looking for something/felt empty like him.
