Have we come across [or thought up] and equivalent yet? I've been thing "Sonar Ratchet" But I'm not terribly clever.
And what does it do that's similar/different than in DW?

In the few snippets on "Community" the Inspector has a quantum blaster. Whether that's too aggressive though, I don't know but it's what I've been using. Although I have added a few other tools to his tool box.

in the episode 'Virtual Systems Analysis' a quantum spanner is referenced. i like this idea because the description is such a catch all. it sounds like it could be almost anything at all.

Ah yes! The hillariously giant quantum spanner! Forgot about that... also like the little nod to the Doctor using the Sonic Screwdriver for EVERYTHING, whereas the spanner seems to have a very specific purpose. I've added a "photon sprocket" to the toolbox, mainly because I like the way it sounds, but it's definitely not a multi-purpose uber-tool.
