Well, not necessarily the first He probably was, considering that I doubt there was a black Inspector back in the 60s and 70s. Possibly 80s but with the 5th Inspector being female it's unlikely the show would make two progressive moves in a row. TV producers hate risk. Man, when I first came up with Daniel Landlord, he was ginger with coke bottle glasses: fav.me/d4asj0f I wanted to make him look vaguely like David Tennant xD; But a black guy is okay too. Is there an actual actor named Daniel Landlord who is black? I came up with the name as an obvious pun on Tennant's name.

I went with the first actor attached to the name.
We still need an Edward Hartles. I made him vague on my entry b/c he doesn't exist.

Daniel Landlord stands (as played by Obi? With the coke bottle glasses?)
I think having a face just helps with descriptions/etc. *shrugs*

Actually, I was thinking - since most of us are probably more familiar with "New Who", what we could probably do is start with the most recent "incarnation" of the Inspector (Travis Richey) and write his episodes first, and then work backwards from there, writing the Daniel Landlord episodes next, so on, so forth. Also, what if... this just came to me: What if we wrote the episodes as sort of a round-robin story? One person starts writing it, writes a paragraph or two, and when the episode is finished, we move on to the next one. Maybe we could do two at a time. Start with Travis Richey's first episode, do a season with him, and work backwards from there. I think that would be a lot of fun, and everyone would get a say in it - and it would give IS a chance to be something kind of separate from DW as the fans get creative with it Will it be chaotic? HELL YES. but that will make it fun. That sounds pretty damn awesome. The only thing I can think of is that it would be hard to develop long story arcs if we're writing the beginning last, but hell. It's all very spacy-wacey. And you could expand on what were throw away gags/references when it comes time to writing an earlier season. I'm in. It sounds very topsy-turvy-spacey-tacey and therefore worthy.

OK, new to the forum (or forums in general TBH), but as soon as I saw this project was in the works, the first idea that came to me was that instead of Christmas specials, the annual one-off should be set around a different holiday. Easter might be out, because of the DW Easter special back in 09, but it could be even better if it was based around some more internationally obscure holiday like St Swithun's Day or Guy Fawkes Night or something. Just curious to see what others are thinking on this issue (which I haven't found anywhere else on the site, other than the Christmas eps already having names). Also, if I'm posting this in the wrong area, please let me know.
