OK, new to the forum (or forums in general TBH), but as soon as I saw this project was in the works, the first idea that came to me was that instead of Christmas specials, the annual one-off should be set around a different holiday. Easter might be out, because of the DW Easter special back in 09, but it could be even better if it was based around some more internationally obscure holiday like St Swithun's Day or Guy Fawkes Night or something. Just curious to see what others are thinking on this issue (which I haven't found anywhere else on the site, other than the Christmas eps already having names). Also, if I'm posting this in the wrong area, please let me know. We could do like...a holiday episode for a different Holiday and have mini extra Christmas/holiday season stuff anyway just because it's fun. Or we can do Christmas anyway because it's big enough for the both of us. Or we can make ours more holiday-season-ish rather than strictly Christmas. Of the Inspector's Birthday special.

That's the thing with Christmas, it's such a perfect time to have a one off episode.
When is the Inspector's Birthday? I suppose it changes every year. Or perhaps he tells everyone it's the 30th of February.

I guess one way to \do it would be to invert the Red Nose Day shorts and the Christmas Special, with every year of the new series haing a Red Nose Day episode, where the Inspector lands on Red Nose Day (or close equivalent, if on some other planet in the distant future), and some years feature a 4-7 minute short, aired opposite the Queen's Christmas Message. Obviously, the viewership for the special is far greater than for the Queen.

I quite like this idea. It may not have to always involve specific Red Nose Day related things, though?

We definitely should enshrine the "30th of February" as the inspector's birthday, I love that idea. And I think the specials should still be Christmas. Why would the Inspector let the Doctor have Christmas all to himself?

I submitted one to confessions, but I haven't seen it. I didn't call out Red Nose Day specifically, but I said that Sir Digby & Ginger once appeared as Associates for a charity ep.

I've an "Inspector Spacetime Restoration Team" Twitter feed, about the ongoing search for and restoration and/or reconstruction of lost episodes and adventures from the show from '62 to '70. Additionally, it's to post production trivia and such about the show during those years. twitter.com/#!/IS_Restoration I'd like to work with folks here to do some or most of the stuff for the account, just to be as cohesive as possible and establish a sense of real continuity. And to have fun. Lots and lot of fun. I've not huge interest really in anything other than the Early Years of the show, as I'm a Classic DW fan more than of New Who. I'll help in any way I can, though (co-writing adventures, writing production history and general trivia, etc.) I think all this for Inspector Spacetime is a wonderful experiment.

I thought Graham Chapman was the 6th, and Stephen Fry was the 7th?
