Anyone have any thoughts on music for IS opening titles? Community doesn't give us enough of an opening to know what it would sound like.
The theme of 'The Other Show' is quite iconic. IS deserves one too. If I had the skills, I'd create one myself. Unfortunately, I have no musical talent.
However, having heard Lily and her Associates, I see that some have. Anyone fancy giving it a go?
Alternatively, are there any existing tunes out there that conjure up IS for you?
I imagine something more stayed and possibly militaristic for IS, but it would be cool to hear others thoughts!

I like it! the drum is very who, could you do a different rhythm maybe? i get that we're staying close to DW on a lot of things so I'm not sure it's a bad thing.

I think this is very good! But the pace and the drums makes it sounds like an in-show theme. Perhaps a "it's time to get serious/battle" theme? For the opening title maybe you could play around with something faster? Or you could go the "mystery" route and make it sound like Space-Holmes? Take a look at some masterpiece mystery theater themes for inspiration, as well as old detective shows.

That's really cool, if a bit jazzy. Also I forgot to mention! You could look into old cheesy scifi movies and pay attention to their themes. Remember the Who theme we know now is an update of a scifi theme from the 60s! Maybe building the song up from retro to modern will help you get the sound you're looking for.

Nah, as everyone knows, the IS theme became iconic because of its bombastic arrangement and the completly lack of any electronic sound... www.megaupload.com/?d=6UHZN1JMand it is written in the mysterios Aeolian mode - a musical mode that makes you feeling guilty and inconvenient.

Awesome. I love how there's a hint of 60s cops show in it!

I like the other one, georgiathekiwi's, too. Perhaps it could be that IS strayed away from their original theme a few times, and eventually came back to the original theme & remixes of it?
Maybe in the 70's they could have something from Kraftwerk?
Just had a thought, georgiathekiwi's could be music used during the show? Like for some particular type of scene (like investigation montages).
